First off lets start with the basics After you have created your tournament click on
Create Tournament Layout
Top Image Link:
Enter image URL for your title page. It will appear at the top of the page, under the title. As an example highlight this web addy and place it in your top image link box http://members.lycos.co.uk/gotbonestags/rocky/DCP_0327.jpg
Once you paste it into that box click anywhere on the page and you will see the image appear at the top.
Its important to remember that Myleague does not allow you to third party link.
What is third party linking you ask Third party linking is taking web addresses from other sites and placing them into your tourneys Using my link above is considered third party linking however I have given you permission to us it. So to wrap it up don’t third party link unless you have permission from the owner of the site you are linking from. If you want to add your own graphics to your tourney then you need to get a storage account. Lycos and spiderpaws, angelfire are excellent sites that provided free storage.
Custom HTML:
Enter into this box customized html code It will appear in between the ad and the links to the other pages. You can place images here, words, marquees, etc. Enter the code here for the background music. The sky is the limit If you go back and pick out one of the sets already designed highlight the text in the text box at the bottom of the set and place the code in this box when you hit submit and check your tourney out you will see how it all comes together.
HTML Color Chart:
Click on it. It will bring up a second window with color choices You will use it a little later
.
Tourney Style:
You have two choices. Classic Style and oops forgot what the other one is called I always use Classic, it places all images in the center. The other style places all your tourney info to the left of the page Try it out when you are making a tourney and see the differences. You can always change it back if you don’t like it
.
Font Type:
Myleague fonts that will show for all are as follows: Arial Arial Black Bimini Bradley Hand
Century Gothic Comic Sans Lucida Blackletter Lucida Calligraphy
Lucida Handwriting Rockwell Terminal Times New Roman
(standard default)
.
Background Image:
Enter image URL for your title page It will appear as the background image for you tournament. As an example highlight this web addy and place it in your Background Image link box http://members.lycos.co.uk/bkgrnd/bk/ctygreen.gif
Once you paste it into that box click anywhere on the page and you will see the image appear all over the screen. With a combination of the top image and now the bottom image you now have a decorated page. ..
READY TO MOVE ON?
Color Chart
Use the color chart you clicked on above to help you through this process
Color Scheme
I always pick my own click on it and play with it you will see what it does.
Background Color
Is just that the background behind your images Remember black background does not work with black text
The Rest
Now with that said about the background and text I think the rest is pretty self explanatory. Play with it and you will see each time you submit what it looks like. Don’t get discourage it took me some time to figure this piece out and Tina to this day still helps me with it Thanks Tina
RULES PAGE
Rules
Very easy to do, just find a rule that you like from pages 9 and 10 provided on this site. Then click in the center box as indicated above and hit submit. Remember once you have done that you will need to check the box as default so they are there every time you create a tourney. And you need to go in each time you create a tourney and change the game type. That’s all there is to it.
HELLO ARE YOU STILL AWAKE? HEHEHEHEHE
I hope this has been helpful to you, half the fun of running tourneys is decorating them. My biggest battle was learning how to decorate tourney pages and for the life of me I could not find a site to help me, which is why I created this one. Tina aka Pebbles was the biggest support factor that I had in creating my tournaments and without her I would not have had as much fun as I have had with running tournaments. I hope you to will find some fun with all of this and as you learn from this page you will grow and develop your own styles. I have provided some helpful sites especially storage sites, you need those in order to become creative and the best part about them is that they are free.
